Today’s post is about general announcements. It contains some important information that may be of use to you over the next six months, especially if you are a regular reader of this blog.

1. Solitude

From the first week of May until October 2013, I am going for a stint of solitude in the Himalayas. During this period, I will be cut off from the world. It won’t be possible to email me or contact me physically. Telepathy will just about be our only mode of communication. I’ll be back at the ashram in November. I have already written and scheduled posts for the next six months, so you will continue to receive a new article every week on this blog. Since I won’t have any connectivity, I won’t be able to read or respond to emails or comments from May – Oct.

2. Miscellaneous

There are other developments related to this blog I would like to share with you. As follows:

a. Audio discourses

Many readers have asked me in the past for the audio files of my video discourses since not all have the bandwidth to watch videos online. I have good news for you. You can hear or download the discourses in mp3 format on my Soundcloud channel.

b. Travel Schedule

For the next little while, for an indefinite period at this stage, I am contemplating devoting more time to the spiritual welfare of our fellow humans. Therefore, I’ll spend a portion of my time traveling. As a result of that, a separate website called omswami.info has been set up. The website will contain up-to-date information on my travel schedule. If you wish to invite me to give a discourse in your city/state/country, visit this page here. You can contact me or visit the ashram using this site.

c. Contacting Me

I get a large number of emails on a daily basis. They are broadly divided into three categories, namely, people wanting to visit the ashram, personal queries, and, comments on the blog posts. From November 2013, visits to the ashram queries will be handled by the volunteers. They can guide you with directions and availability etc. Comments on the blog posts will continue as is. I respond to almost all of those. But as far as contacting me is concerned for any of your personal queries, it has been replaced by a form. You can send your message through this form. Your message will land directly in my inbox, it will remain private.

3. Gratitude

I would like to express my gratitude to all the wonderful people, mostly from the USA and Canada, who have extended every possible assistance in setting up and maintaining these websites. They are committed to spreading the message. They are the ones who will be posting new videos and audio for you. Let’s make this world a better place. One person at a time. Starting with ourselves. I wanted to start, not end, my post with gratitude. Then again, I thought gratitude is like a dessert, it can make up for an average main course; an ordinary meal feels complete with a good dessert in the end. It’s like the soft and creamy scoop of pistachio ice-cream on a warm sticky date pudding. In short, gratitude has both the warmth that heals and the coolness that soothes. So, I saved it for last, considering the actual post today has little or no direct utility. I thank you all, not just the volunteers but the readers too, who adopt and share the message.

Meanwhile, take care of yourselves and each other.

Au revoir.
Swami

A GOOD STORY

There were four members in a household. Everybody, Somebody, Anybody and Nobody. A bill was overdue. Everybody thought Somebody would do it. Anybody could have done it but Nobody did it.
Don't leave empty-handed, consider contributing.
It's a good thing to do today.
