What is your dream?
I read somewhere, “If you don’t know where you are going, any road will take you there.”
The number one quality that sets great leaders apart from ordinary ones is “vision”. By vision, I don’t mean that you always set out to change the world (though you can), but that you are clear about what you want to do or accomplish. The “how” of how exactly will you realize your vision often gets clearer over a period of time.
It is perfectly fine to not know everything beforehand as long as you are clear about the outcome you seek.
In this session, I’ll cover the importance and art of setting your vision.
Note : For marking the lesson as “Complete”, wait for the video to finish completely. On video completion, “Mark Complete” button would become active.
Recommended reads for this session:
Insanely Simple by Ken Segall (Mandatory).
That Will Never Work by Marc Randolph (Highly Recommended).
All of the above books are available in e-book format. You can buy them on Amazon and simply use the Kindle app on your tablet, laptop or even phone to read these books.
Additionally, I also encourage you to get your hands on the following classics (physical copies) and read them anytime in the next 3-6 months at your leisure.
In Search of Excellence by Thomas J. Peters and Robert H. Waterman Jr. (The original edition was published in 1982 and this was the one I read back in 1996. I suspect the newer edition will at least have all of the original).
Built to Last by Jim Collins and Jerry I Porras.
Good to Great by Jim Collins.
Over the next six weeks, the more time you spend on reading and absorbing the knowledge, the more you will gain from Walk the Dragon.
Notes of this session are available here .
