What are you up against?

You are well on your way to taming the dragon so you may walk it or fly it at your leisure. A sound business plan is your map, it’s the compass you use to walk the dragon in the right direction.

If you can’t explain what your business does in one line, chances are the business is either not focused or clear enough about where it is going. While there are numerous success stories of business-plan-on-a-napkin, it pays to think through what will it take to succeed. It helps to reflect upfront on what and who you are up against. Build and they will come is the mantra that no longer works. For a business to succeed, it must operate as one fine cohesive machine and the idea of a business plan is to know what this machine will look like and the various parts it requires to move.

One of my wonderful life-coachees brought to my attention this great example of an investor pitch. It was given by LinkedIn founders to Greylock. I highly recommend that you devote 15 min of your time and go over it here. https://www.reidhoffman.org/linkedin-pitch-to-greylock/

In this session, we’ll go over the art and importance of writing a winning business plan.
